Late
last night winter’s last hurrah came sweeping through Texas and left in its
wake a curtain of ice, sleet & school cancellations. The sun is {finally} out in full force and
makes my heart long for sweet springtime.
With this random day of nothing to do I got busy bringing springtime
inside because surely, that will make it come faster outside right?
I
put the finishing touches on our mantle this morning to usher in spring, Easter
& the bright, beautiful colors of spring.

Husband and I will embark on a short mini-vacation for spring break next week
and so I sat down today to compile my spring-cleaning checklist. Last year we did not have a deep spring clean
& I regretted it. With two German
Shedders...I mean shepherds getting ready to blow out their winter coats I am
prepping myself for the onslaught of hair that will soon descend on my
house. I have included my version of a
spring-cleaning checklist that leaves no space untouched. Coach has already decided he might need to
find somewhere else to be the Saturday we return from vacation but I know
having a clean house going into the final stretch of school will make a world
of difference for my sanity.
