August Goals

The calendar has turned over once again & I realize that the beginning of school is right around the corner!  This time last year I was lounging on the beach with a girlfriend, my classroom was completely set up and I was ready for in-service.  This year my school went under construction and everything was packed up.  We received the long awaited for text that we could begin working in our rooms about two days before we closed on the #project007.  Needless to say my classroom is no where near ready for the sweet littles that will be joining me later this month and due to the Carpet Debacle we are currently in, the new house is also a complete disaster.  I have my to-do lists for both and I refuse to stress or become anxious…it will be finished in time!  July was a whirlwind and my goals ended up looking a little something like this…

July Goals

purge every nook and cranny 

this was so liberating, I donated a massive amount of clothing to the WFAC & purged furniture I had been holding onto for no good reason.  It was AWESOME.

have a garage sale 

Garage sales are not my most favorite thing but thanks to my fabulous friend Becca I made it through and actually was able to make a fair amount of money to put toward our fence project at the new house

read at least 6 books off of the #50books50states list

seriously did NOT have time to even pick up a book this month.

finish my practicums for MRT

Master Reading Teacher is officially finished & thanks to my “Quad Squad” I survived.  Loved meeting sweet new friends whose group text convos keep me laughing 

so hard I cry.
