march goals: miss style

source: pinterest
Oh mon dieu, I can't believe we are already 3 months into 2015! I also can't believe baseball season is only 1 month away, meaning I am a month away from having 0 life (I'm ignoring the fact that ST games start in 4 days).

I don't have a lot planned for March, I believe it will act as the calm before the storm for April when I have a lot going on. I mainly plan on working and enjoying my last few weeknights and weekends of freedom! :)

I have unintentionally been neglecting this blog for most of 2015, but luckily I have my dear accountability partner to subtly encourage me...

Anyways, I don't have a ton of goals for March, but here are a few things I am setting my sights on:

  1. Clean out my closet: I will do this more thoroughly in April most likely (when I can actually start putting away my sweaters and getting out my Spring clothes), but it wouldn't hurt to start the reorganizing process to help make it less daunting.
  2. Finish reading my current book: I am in the middle of a series of books from Amazon (honestly don't know the title). I need to make the time to sit down and finish it, because I really do enjoy the the book -  just get distracted with doing other things.
  3. Complete Blogilates calendar for March: I always say I'm going to do this, but I'm really going to make an honest effort this month. Since I don't have any trips planned this is the perfect month to focus on it.
  4. Start training for 5k: Tonight I signed up for a 5k at the end of April with my Dad and Uncle. I haven't ran in forever, so I really need to start training - especially this month, because I know April will get away from me.
  5. "Do what you can & chill out about the timing": This was posted on instagram today by Mandy Hale, otherwise known as The Single Woman. She captioned it this:
"So often we forget that destiny is about 10% us | 90% God. Yes, we need to show up & be open & do our part, but then we need to step out of the way & let God do His. Without forcing, without hurrying, without controlling. Don't miss out on the blessing because you were either unwilling to work for it (your part) or unwilling to wait for it (God's part.)"

It really spoke to me and the stage of life I currently am. It immediately made me start reflecting upon my own mental state and my own need to chill out. This is without a doubt the biggest goal of mine this month - too truly embrace this and let God take the lead.

That's all for March... we'll see how much I am actually able to accomplish! :)
